Route

High season tour (from 03/16 to 11/15):

9:00 am: Pickup in front of Avignon tourist office (address: 41 cours Jean Jaurès)

10:00 am: Visit of the amphitheater in Arles (1 hour drive), place of shows which was built at the end of the 1st century and could host 25,000 people (admission tickets included in the price). Duration: about 1 hour.

12:00/12:15 pm: Provençal picnic at the oil mill in Les Baux de Provence (30 minutes drive), made up of local goods (instance: hard-boiled eggs from the farm, tapenade, anchovy purée, fresh goat cheese, seasonal fruits, grape juice), in beautiful surroundings under the olive trees. Duration: about 1 hour.

1:00/1:15 pm: Guided tour of the oil mill Moulin CastelaS in Les Baux de Provence with a tasting at the end of the tour of at least 5 different olive oils of Vallée des Baux de Provence appellation. Duration: about 1 hour.

2:15/2:30 pm: Get away in the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, listed among the most beautiful villages of France, stronghold of a feudal domain and former marquisate of the Principality of Monaco. Duration: about 1 hour.

3:45/4:00 pm: Photo-stop at the Antiques of St Rémy de Provence (30 minutes drive) made up of a Roman arch and a Mausoleum, entrance gates of the ancient site of Glanum. Duration: 15 minutes.

4:00/4:15 pm: Tasting of traditionally and handmade-produced candied fruits at Confiserie Lilamand, inside the fortifications of St Rémy de Provence. Duration: about 30 minutes.

4:30/4:45 pm: Back to Avignon (45 minutes drive). Arrival in front of the tourist office around 5:15/5:30 pm.

Off-season tour (from 11/16 to 03/15, afternoon only):
